Potential Observers
If you are interested in completing an observership at the Interventional Psychiatry Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Ziad Nahas, please complete this survey regarding your timeline. Observerships are highly competitive and opportunities are limited. Please contact us several months prior to your preferred timeframe to ensure we can determine if there is an opening, assign necessary trainings, and set up a valuable experience.
Potential Volunteers
If you are interested in volunteering at the Interventional Psychiatry lab, please complete this survey regarding your interest, experience, and timeline. Please note: we do not accept short term volunteers and we are not able to support visa for unpaid volunteers. There is a complex process of onboarding to UMN Department of Psychiatry and Dr. Nahas's research studies. We typically require a minimum of one year volunteering and at least 10 hours a week. We do not have many opportunities for remote work; you will have a better experience if you are able to come on site at one of our locations on the UMN campus or the clinic in St. Louis Park where many research visits are conducted.
If you are a prospective volunteer interested in potential course credit at the University of Minnesota, please plan for at least one semester's notice with your request so that we have time to critically review the requirements and your proposal, as well as set up any additional rubric information. Please include this information in your survey.
