Alisha Bhagia

Research Assistant

Alisha Bhagia is a third year medical student at the University of Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Society, & Environment from the University of Minnesota in 2022. She is very passionate about mental health and plans to pursue a career as a psychiatrist. She joined the Interventional Psychiatry Lab in 2023 and is now spending a year to dive deeper into the field of research, learn more about various neuromodulation techniques, and gain skills in administering patient assessments. Her experiences with psychiatry include presenting her project exploring the effectiveness of IM vs. IV ketamine administration for treatment-resistant depression at the MPS Spring Conference and serving as the Mental Health Advocacy Chair for the Psychiatry Interest Group at the University of Minnesota. She is looking forward to working directly with patients and learning more about various options for treatment resistant depression.
