Research Assistant
Josh Magnuson joined the Interventional Psychiatry Lab in December 2025. He is an undergraduate psychology major at the University of Minnesota with a strong interest in the neurobiological mechanisms underlying mood disorders and motivated behavior. His academic interests sit at the intersection of clinical psychology, neuroscience, and translational research, with a particular focus on how disruptions in brain-behavior systems contribute to depression and related disorders. Josh is especially interested in evidence-based, mechanistic approaches to mental health treatment and the integration of research findings into clinical care.
