Clinical Research Coordinator
Kayla Thoen obtained her B.A. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Concordia College, Moorhead. Most recently, she worked with substance use populations as a Clinical Coordinator at Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute, but previously served as a direct support staff for psychiatric patients and clients with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Kayla joined the Interventional Psychiatry Lab in April 2024 and is looking forward to applying her coordinator experience to the lab while learning about new treatment approaches for mood disorders as well as the mechanisms of action behind them. Her areas of interest are tied to building equitable opportunities for patients to thrive in both medical and psychosocial contexts.
